Hand Carved Table 110+ yrs |

This BEAUTIFUL table is about 18" tall, with the round top
about 11 1/2" in diameter. It has 4 legs, even though the photo below looks
like three, I was trying to photo the detail on the front legs. The table is
highly ornamented with hand carved flowers and leaves, that show the marks of
hand chiseling. The smooth part of the table legs show the marks of being hand
planed. The table top is also ornamented with a circled border like carving.
The table has a dark brown finish.
The origin, I was told by a antique furniture expert and
lecturer, is China and it should be a little over 110 years old. The family it
originally came from claimed it has been in their family for over 100 years.
The wood has a fairly tight grain and no knots. There are no I.D. marks on it
but the back upper insides of the legs have numbers on that appear to have been
used to assemble the correct leg with the correct corner after it's shipment
over seas.
Please note these blemishes: At one time there must have
been a chip to the edge of the table top that was repaired but it was not an
expert repair, as it is noticeable. On a side panel below the table top there
is a wood chip on the border above two blossoms that needs repair, and a deep
finish scrap, about an inch long, down to the bare wood on another side panel.
One of the inside frame pieces that attaches to the bottom inside of the table
top has a crack in it that follows the wood grain, only noticeable when viewed
from the bottom, and doesn't seem to affect the tables sturdiness. There is a
couple of red paint drops that were not cleaned off very good.
There are numerous small shallow scuff marks and scrapes to
the finish on all sections and a few slightly deeper old scratches here and
there, some were retouched long ago and some need a touch up currently. The
table was probably at one time setting in front of a window with a doily on, as
there is sun fading to the table top finish with a doily pattern. Over all
though, it is still a beautiful piece, that could use some restoration work to
bring it back to it's original glory.

This old funnel shows some wear but with a good cleaning,
could be still useful. It's all metal with a red painted handle, and a screen
inside that is still intact. The handle is almost 4" long and has paint chips.
the top of the funnel is about 4 1/2" in diameter. It has a hand screw on
bottom ring that supports a screen and a funnel tip. Length from to bottom
of funnel is about 5 1/2". Embossing on the main body reads: "1 PT FUNNEL, FIVE
ARTICLES IN ONE, STRAINER, FRUIT JAR FILLER, FUNNEL, MEASURE, DIPPER". There
are also measurements for 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4, and an embossed emblem that looks
like it reads "Tesco". Nice relic from great grandmas kitchen!

Old Electric Hair Curling Iron |

About 11" long with a rod that makes a 3/8" diameter tight
curl. Curling rod looks like chromed brass and in good condition. Curl clip is
chromed steel and has several rust spots, has a wooden thumb button in good
condition with wear to the black paint, and a spring that still has good
spring. The handle is wood painted black, shows a little paint wear, and
doesn't have any cracks in the wood.
The double cord is about 57" long including the old "Arrow"
brand plug and is made from two twisted together soft electric cords with black
color braided covering. The cord looks in real good condition with no frays or
breaks.

Saturday Evening Post Norman Rockwell Glasses |

These two heavy glasses go to the buyer. They are about 4
1/8" tall with a top diameter of about 3 3/8". Both are in very good condition
with no chips. Both read "The Saturday Evening Post, Norman Rockwell, Glassware
Collection." One reads: "Skaters, Feb 7, 1920" with a picture of a male ice
skater trying to help up a fallen female ice skater. The other reads: "Off-duty
Clown, May 18, 1918" with a picture of a clown relaxing while reading a
newspaper with a young country boy looking on. Unsure of age but would guess
1960's or 1970's.
